About The Ambition
There are 2 artists with this name:
1. (The 1st ambition, is a metalcore band, not much is known about them).
2. The Ambition were a Mod Revival garage rock band founded in Anchorage, Alaska by TC Ottinger (bass, lead vocals), Dustin Ryan (guitar, backing vocals) & Jason Storter (sic) (drums), their immediate influences were the likes of The Who, The Jam, The Small Faces, The Clash, as well as later acts such as Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division, and Gang of Four and modern acts such as The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Pixies, and The Smiths...
To characterize the career of this incarnation, one might say it was brief and glorious, The Ambition were recieved in late to 2003 to late 2004 with mixed reactions, while few denied they put on a good show, they were (as is the case for most any interesting musical act in anchorage) an anomaly, almost no one at that time was doing garage rock, let alone Mod Revival, The Ambition's first incarnation dissolved shortly after a relocation to Columbus, Ohio, where personal differences and disputes* led to personel changes, namely their guitarist (Dustin Ryan), leaving, who was replaced by mutual friend, Luke Matter (sic), it is believed that this incarnation dissolved when Luke Matter relocated from Columbus, Ohio, to Portland, Or. Since this relocation, no evidence has emerged that this band is anything but defunct.
