About Senator Jaiz
Hello, I am Senator Jaiz
Also known as Eban Crawford
It is nice to meet you!
I am an experimental electronic composer and performer. I am also the composer and audio point person for the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in the Digital Media department.
I say experimental as my music does not fit nicely in any single box. I am a product of my influences, which include Jean-Michel Jarre, Gary Numan, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Massive Attack, and, well, this list could get pretty long, so let's leave it there.
More about Senator jaiz
"Senator Jaiz's first album, Dimensional Chaos was released in 2014 and had a more dance oriented sound. With 2015's Blaise Artica the sound started to veer more to IDM and Trip Hop. 2016 was Senator Jaiz's first year at Moogfest and brought the EP's "The iPad Sessions vol 1" and "Sparkless Ignition," along with the album "B-sides and Songs that Missed the Cut." 2017 saw a Return to Moogfest and the first year of the Carrboro music Festival along with the release of seven singles. So far 2018 has been a busy year with a return to the Carrboro Music Festival and the release of 5 singles and three albums.
Senator Jaiz is also involved in workshops such as "No Permission Needed: Create!" which he has brought to Moogfest in 2016 and 2017."
Cheers!
