CAPYAC

CAPYAC is a surreal dance band born in Austin and rebuilt between Berlin and Los Angeles. Their music moves through synthpop, new wave, funk and electronic music, combining propulsive rhythms with glossy synths, dramatic melodies and an instinct for the unexpected. What began as an irreverent experimental project has grown into a shape-shifting live act whose music and performances are inseparable: tightly constructed songs become springboards for improvisation, choreography, audience interaction and sudden departures into the unknown. Their latest album, Sobbing Ecstasy, pushes that tension further, pairing euphoric dance music with a darker, more emotional edge.

Onstage, CAPYAC treats the concert as a temporary universe with its own physics. Their 2025-26 tour opening for Marc Rebillet brought that approach to rooms across North America, where reviewers described their sets as a fever dream of improvised party energy. CAPYAC's goal is simple enough: open a portal, get people moving, and see what happens. The result is music designed for bodies first and categories second.
