About Good Brother Earl
Good Brother Earl, the Pittsburgh-based original roots rock band, has a diverse sound that ranges from rave up rock to americana. Since forming in the early 2000s, they have released 4 studio albums and play live shows in the tri-state area regularly throughout the year. This year, they are celebrating 20 years since their first release.
Notable accomplishments:
For the last 15 years, the band has performed a monthly residency from the spring to fall seasons at Narcisi winery in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania.
In July 2023 they were the artist of the week on the nationally acclaimed local independent radio station WYEP 91.3 in Pittsburgh. Previously, the station declared them a top 10 artist of the year.
In 2010 the band was showcased on the NPR show "Mountain Stage" with the Derek Trucks Band.
Their song "Lonely Heart" was featured in a nationwide cable television promotional commercial airing on cable channel AMC (American Movie Classics).
They had an eight year weekly residency at Rock Bottom Brewery in Pittsburgh’s Waterfront.
During a stint of regional live shows, the band was joined by Boyd Tinsley, violinist for Dave Matthews Band at the Black Cat in Washington D.C.
They were the most played band on the XM Unsigned Channel (now sirius radio) with their song “Waking Up in the Same World”
They were selected to represent Pittsburgh in a performance at Lollapalooza 2003 at the Post-Gazette Pavilion.
