Resisting Vegas

RESISTING VEGAS is a dynamic, theatrical hard rock band formed in 2015 in Austin, Texas. Their influences include Guns N' Roses, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pantera, and Deftones.

In April 2019, Resisting Vegas released their first album, “Fearless in its Wake”. It was a lengthy, heavily layered album clocking in at 66 minutes over 12 tracks; and took over 3 years to create. In direct response to the long and arduous process of making “Fearless in its Wake”, the band decided to approach their 2nd album with the intent of “just getting to the point”.

“Malevolent” wastes no time; the songs are short and heavy, and they take the listener through a dark journey inspired by classic horror. The album is based on films such as “The Exorcist (1973)”, “American Werewolf in London (1981)”, and “The Thing (1982)”; while still bringing in elements of modern rock and metal. Many of the tracks take the villain’s perspective, and are meant to inspire the listener to indulge in their evil side. “Malevolent” was released on July 23rd, 2021.
