Indie/Rock'n'Roll bringers 'Candidates' are standing up to deliver uplifting songs, in a time when there is much noise - but not enough said!

The band are - Steve Wells (Lead Vox/Rhythm Guitar), Jimi Cook (Lead Guitar), Paul Pugh (Bass), Neil Kenton (Drums).

With a mutual appreciation for hard hitting beats, rumbling bass, soaring guitars and meaningful words sung with passion, and a relatable vulnerability, these lads have quickly become a band with a fierce purpose, combining influences such as Oasis, The Verve, The Stone Roses, The Cribs et el. to put Indie Rock’n’Roll back where it belongs.

With a busy end to 2017 bringing plays on BBC Introducing: Northampton and 3 Counties for their debut single ‘A Better Way’, Candidates look forward to a big 2018 with new music coming and dates already confirmed at O2 Academy: Oxford (Supporting Space), Camden’s Dublin Castle and Fiddlers’ Elbow, Northampton Roadmender and festival slots at Penn Fest, The Grey Dog Festival and The Unsigned Marquee at Tribfest!
