About Necrophilicons
In late 2002, former members of Angry Diesel, and the U.S. Beat joined together to begin a new era in horror rock history. They have a desire to fill a void in a dying scene with a sound straight from the grave, and the Necrophilicons have set themselves loose on society. Singer\songwriter Rotten Rob holds the title of founding member and the responsibility of the band, being his brain child. The current line up boasts a fast paced and motivated regiment of musicians with a true love for the style and imagery befitting the name Necrophilicons. Within the first year of their existence, the Necrophilicons sparked interest from independent labels and have landed opening slots on the east coast for national acts including; The Independents (formally managed by Joey Ramone), Rock City Morgue (Sean Ysuelt from White Zombie), X-Ward (featuring Dr. Chud from the Misfits) and Gotham Road (featuring Michale Graves from the Misfits). In between their sometimes demanding show schedule, the Necrophilicons have recorded their debut album to be released on ABMRecords and have progressed with 3 more albums, most recently The Art of Dying in 2008. The Necrophilicons have always operated on their own time, their own agenda, and have stayed true to themselves and their fans since 2002. Stay tuned to see just where these guys are going, and if you haven’t seen them… you will know them by the pools of blood left in their wake. if you haven’t seen them… you will know them by the pools of blood left in their wake.
