About Inishmore

INISHMORE, founded in the late 90’s by Pascal Gysi (keyboards) and Fabian Niggemeier (Guitar), split up in 2009, only to rise from the ashes after just two years of musical silence. Daniel Novosel (bass) from the original line up quickly accepted to join his comrades, and band’s long-time friend Alex Ortega filled the spot behind the drums.

The search for a second guitarist and a singer proved to be a bit more difficult, but Jarek Adamowski (guitar) and Andrea Schmid (vocals) completed the line up and in early 2011 INISHMORE were fully reborn.

Playing original INISHMORE songs wasn’t providing enough outlet for the creativity in the band, and INISHMORE soon started writing new material. The fact that more people now contributed to songwriting made the process all the more interesting, triggered new ideas and pushed the band into new, previously unexplored musical territories.

In 2013 Andrea decided not to continue her musical career and she left the band. A new singer was found very soon in the person of Michela Parata whose voice gave a new fresh spin to INISHMORE songs and sped up the song writing and arrangement of new material to the point that in May 2014 INISHMORE recorded their fourth album entitled „The Lemming Project” at the HOFA Studios, which was produced by the one-and-only Dennis Ward.

The album which was first self-released by INISHMORE in June 2015 resonated very well with fans and it drew the interest of music publishers, which resulted in INISHMORE signing up with Dark Wings.
