Cooltown is an American West Coast DJ, Producer & Artist known for his love of video games, the color yellow & progressive funky beats. With over a decade of experience in the industry, he has become a staple in the Pacific Northwest nightlife scene. Signed records on Plasmapool, G-Mafia, Glitchworld & more.

Born in LA and raised in Portland, Cooltown began playing flute, guitar, and drums at a young age. He quickly developed a passion for Techno, Electronica & Trance and began raving & spinning in Los Angeles, Southern California in 2009. Attending multiple Insomniac Events and drew massive inspiration from this central EDM hub.

Over the years, Cooltown has honed his craft and developed a unique style that blends Techno, Funk & House Music with influences from Headhunterz, Mord Fustang, Adam K & Soha, Deadmau5 & Tiësto with a splash of Funk, Tech & Groove. His sets are known for blending all genres of EDM with seamless transitions and always up to date with the latest releases from around the world, and he has built a loyal fanbase worldwide.

Cooltown's career has taken him to some of the biggest clubs and festivals on the West Coast, including The Gorge, NOS Event Center, The Whiskey Bar, No Vacancy, The Underground and Ora. He is now a resident DJ and Director of Events at Opaline in the heart of Downtown Portland. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including ATB, Elevven, Fatum, Gabriel & Dresden, Gardenstate, Genix, Jaytech, Khen, Kyau & Albert, Marsh, Myon, Oliver Smith, Roger Shah, Simon Doty, TyDi, Wassu & more…

Cooltown is the host and DJ of the world-renowned radio podcast, PFB Radio, and is fast approaching 200 episodes with a residency on StarterFM in Australia and everywhere podcasts are available every Sunday. PFB Radio featured songs are located in his SoundCloud & Spotify playlists and are quickly consumed by DJs globally.

In addition to DJing, Cooltown is also the founder of Team Yellow Events, hosting parties and booking talent in the Pacific Northwest. He is committed to curating a safe space for DJ, Producers to share their life’s work in an intimate one-of-a-kind experience, leading a team of like minded music lovers curating everything from renegades to official record label parties.
