Orbit (USA)

From Wikipedia: Orbit is a Boston, Massachusetts-based power trio. Formed in 1994, the band went on hiatus in late 2001. Their initial releases were on drummer Buckley's own Lunch Records label before the band moved to major label A&M Records.

They released their A&M debut, "Libido Speedway" in 1997 which spawned the Modern Rock hit "Medicine" and landed them a spot on the coveted Lollapalooza Tour that year.

The band quickly completed recording their second major label album, "Guide To Better Living" in 1998 - but it's released date was pushed back due to Seagrams-Polygram merger and the record was eventually shelved.

Undaunted, the band then moved back to Lunch Records for the rest of their releases which included "Tonedeaf" in 1999 and "XLR8R" in 2000. The latter album had the title track, included on the soundtrack of the Playstation 2 game, FreQuency. On New Years Eve in Burlington, Vermont in 2001 the band called it quits.

In 2011, Universal Records released "Guide to Better Living" - not retitled as "the lost album" which sparked shows in Boston, Chicago, and an appearance at that years SXSW festival.

Reunion shows popped up here and there along with the COVID release of " Vapor Trails" - a compilation of unreleased recordings in 2021.

In 2024, Orbit announced 30th anniversary shows in Los Angeles and Boston followed by new music staring with the single "Daylight" - released on April 25, 2025.
