About Guthrie Handley

My old record company tell me I've sold over 100,000 records over the years. This was mainly in the 80's mainly with the single "Where Was" (no. 14 in Indie Charts, 63 National Charts)with Wayne Hussey from The Misssion. I wrote for Goth rockers Eyes of the Nightmare Jungle on their album Fate and sang and co-wrote with Naked Voice on the album Forgotten Frontiers and single Dreamhouse.

Like a lot of musicians for a brief moment it looked it was all going to take off and become massive...but it didn't. So I did other things to put food on the table but always carried on writing, gigging and recording for my own pleasure.

Now I write on my own and with Peter Arthur, ex Naked Voice guitarist (as Masters of Melancholy) and lyricist John Lawson (as Stallions in Sepia).

Most weeks I can be found singing and playing my acoustic guitar at open mic nights and small gigs around the Glasgow and Lanarkshire area.
