Rising from the ashes of the band 'Gooferman' to create a more concise and powerful juggernaut of mayhem, these 5 former klowns have flushed the paint to focus on some serious buffoonery. Hailing from Oakland and San Francisco, Dead Klown Society has kept the musical tradition of the Bay Area alive by keeping it weird, fun and rockin'. With heavy influences of Funk/Pop/Ska and Metal, DKS pulls off a high energy show of unusual flare and bouncing grooves. Playing every venue in the bay area from Cafe Du Nord, Bottom of the HIll, Great Amercian Music Hall and The Fillmore to Shoreline Amphitheater, DKS has also played events like Jazz Fest in New Orleans, Bumbershoot in Seattle, Beer Circus in Chicago and Download fest in Moutain View, California. Now the band is spreading their sound in L.A. at The Mint,The Viper room, El Cid, and The Echo with more to come. Dead Klown Society has performed with some of the biggest names in the industry (Velvet Revolver, The Cure, Kings of Leon, Metric, Fishbone, Gogol Bordello, Wycliff Jean, 50 Cent) as well as occasional members from Fishbone, Cracker, Tower of Power, Eric McFadden and Squeeze. The release of their new 7 song ep 'Sex Mammoth' in the winter of 2014 has put them on the trajectory of a U.S. tour in the summer of 2015. Hard to categorize and nail down, they never fail to impress. 5 face painters dropped their brushes and picked up a new sound. 2 Parts metal,2 Parts funk and 1 part ska/reggae. All parts scary grin.
