Caravan

Looking forward to acoustic set from Caravan as part of the successful Canterbury music festival. I first saw Caravan in 1972 and this was third time lucky to see them live as on two previous occasions shows were cancelled due to Covid or missed due to my ill health. I was not disappointed as the venue was ideally suited for their set and Caravan performed songs old and new and suited their mature voices , I mean that politely. Everything was well organised and staff were friendly and only too willing to help. Westgate Hall is a lovely venue for all sorts of activities and suited to live music as the hall is large but not overly large and the atmosphere and acoustics are very good. Being instrumental in the Canterbury music scene since the late 1960’s it was home for Caravan and the audience were of the age of followers of Caravan throughout the decades. I enjoyed watching Caravan and hopefully will see them again soon. Well done organisers and volunteers for the Canterbury music festival.
