About FFT
THE BIO FFT is a Rock your face off band founded in October of 2014. Combining different elements from several genres, but always leaning towards straight-ahead rock, FFT provides sound to energize fans and ensure a good time is had by all. The band began when Jimmy Castro [Pistol Arrow], fueled by a passion for creating tasty riffs and writing monumental music on his guitar, sought out other musicians who shared his sonic taste. Matthew Gradala [Hazard to Ya Booty] quickly signed on to add drums to these creations; at first programming them, but quickly after picking up sticks to do it the old fashioned way. Immediately after the instrumentation for their first song-Genius Rodent-was put together, Rich Williams [Nothing Upstairs, Tau Ceti] joined in to add vocal awesomeness, and boombastic bass to the mix. These three dubbed their band FFT, an audio term that represents the scope of the music and the attitude of the musicians: "A tool through which we create prodigious sound." FFT's debut EP "Suitcase," and first official video are out now! THE LEGEND FFT came to be during the early years of the Qing Dynasty in 1650. A rock band in a land of "Yin Yuen," FFT went against the grain of society, and in particular, certain officials within the dynasty like ruler Huang Taiji. Said to be "disruptors of the welfare of the dynasty and its' citizens" and "inciters of dangerous free thought," FFT was celebrated by the citizens but disliked by many rulers. It was because of this, that in the summer months of 1655 Taiji sentenced them to death by some kind of horrific historical-type execution (like hung from their pinky toes or something terrible like that). At the day they were to meet their end, silence enveloped a group who had once been known for their boisterous merriment; The singer, Wu Sangui, seconds before his death, pierced the veil of hushed reverence, Proclaiming: "We shall return to crush the spirits of our oppressors, and inspire the souls of those who stand with us! We shall return in a time and place that better befits our way of Ax Shredding! and Boombastic Beat Blasting! A curse upon the dynasty of Qing!" Directly following this statement the Qing dynasty vanished from the face of the earth, save for FFT's supporters. The survivors created a utopia without rulers that lasted for thousands of years. This is true. Google it. In 2014 Three souls wandered the far corners of the earth. Disjointed, disillusioned, and dyslexic, the three (as they have come to be known by some...but not many people really...actually, I'm the only one who calls them that) felt a great disconnect and purposelessness from this modern world. It wasn't until one day... In southern California... By chance they all met each other... Something something something... reincarnation.... something else... Face Melting Guitar Solo! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Oh, and they became known as FFT. Did you read this whole thing? Thanks. Creating Prodigious Sound, and Rocking Faces!
