The Toasters

The toasters are by far my favorite Ska band. Always a treat when they come to a city near you! They sounded great too, the Sax and Trombone player were on fire! The whole band was locked in and has never sounded better.

The Toasters!!! What a great time! Hats off to the openers, Last Reel Her0 and the Knock Blockers, both were very fun.

Toasters were great, but they were frustrated… so was I!! I’ve seen dozens and dozens of shows at this venue, different stage setups and areas have been used over these years. The area and the stage setup provided to the Toasters (a larger band) was completely humiliating. I feel terrible for the boys to have to deal with bumping elbows with each other and having the entry door next to their amps. Every time someone entered or left, they were distracting and dangerously close to the band’s cables and such. There was even a time when Bucket (lead guitarist and singer) asked for a beer and was quickly brought a bottle of water. This is just unacceptable forThe Toasters! I love the Toasters and will ALWAYS see them when they come down, they deserve better treatment than Club Revolution gave them.

I mean it is the F****** Toasters!!! The location havin some dope savory/sweet pies only enhanced the experience. I will be back to the Pie Shop again again.

As always the toasters were great! Colorblind Dinosaurs are always a blast and bring the family vibe! Control This was Fabulous too! I could have danced all night. O wait, I did!

I always love going to see the toasters so much. They are such a good band and I will see them Everytime they come to Boise.

Oldsters that can bring it. I really enjoyed the music and they brought some good energy for older performers. I'd see them again for sure. I just wish they could have played a longer set. With a catalog as deep as theirs, 40 minutes doesn't do them justice.

Vorab: Ich möchte niemandem zu nahe treten! Das Monkey's ist ein Wohlfühlladen, die Stimmung toll. Leider - ausdrücklich leider! - war ich von "Bucket" etwas enttäuscht... Beim Eintritt saß ein Mann vom Typ Roadie am Merchstand vor einem Laptop und machte auf meine Angetraute und mich einen recht angeödeten Eindruck. Ein nettes Gekicher mit dem Saxophonisten der Toasters über meine Schuhe läutete den Abend dann ein und Skaramanga betraten die Bühne - eine uns bis dahin unbekannte Band. Diese Damen und Herren haben den Laden richtig aufgeheizt, absolute "Rampensäue", Karten für September sind schon eingetütet! Dann ging der Herr vom Eingang ans Mikro, fingerte etwas an der Gitarre herum - Vorbereitung für die Toasters, wie wir dachten, aber nein! Das war der legendäre Kopf der Toasters, ein Urgestein, ein Wegweiser des Ska! Die Band legte los, nach kleineren technischen Problemen fing es endlich an. Das erste Konzert ohne Maske, Test, Entwurmung etc seit viel zu langer Zeit - und eines meiner Idole spult ohne sich entsprechend zu dressen, ohne irgendeinen Aufruf jetzt die Sau raus zu lassen und ohne einen Sinn für das "Besondere" dieses Abends zu zeigen eher lustlos vor sich hin. Wir waren echt traurig und leicht enttäuscht, hatten vielleicht auch zu große Erwartungen - und sind vorzeitig gegangen... The Toasters sind und bleiben Legenden, keine Frage, ich huldige ihnen täglich! Skaramanga waren für uns eine Offenbarung! Robert "Bucket" Hingley möge mir vergeben...

That had to have been the smallest venue they’ve played in the last 20 years. My son had a great time. Everyone should keep an eye out for next year’s Apocalypse Supper club camp show

The Toasters, as always, in excellent form. A very energetic concert with a practically punk ending. Perfect bass parades with a dub claw performed by Jason "Jah-Son" Nwagbaraocha (I play bass myself, hence the mention ;-)). Although I was shocked by the low attendance. About 70 people at the star concert for over 40 years of experience?!? The fact is, the club is also not big. Are the listeners still not awake from the lethargy of covid restrictions? Or maybe now people are more interested in YouTube influencers than decent music? Pity. I think an era “ independent music “ is passing.

Excellent show! The club was nice and the patrons were friendly and courteous. After this long pandemic hiatus, it was SO GOOD to see the boys again!! I’ve really missed live music. The Toasters never disappoint!! The show was energetic and loaded with all of our favorites. Even their sales table was full of many cool and varied designs on stickers, shirts, and a big collection of vinyl LPs.

Great show, Toasters always put on a good show. General Tso's Fury, River City Sound System and the Scotch Bonnets all such good bands. General Tso's need to play more.

Amazing show! The Toasters is one o the best ska bands out there. Definitely go see them if they go to your town.

The Toasters were tight! They are old school veterans in Ska music. They were entertaining to say the least. Great Gig!

The entire place was dancing! Best show I've seen in years. The Scotch Bonnets played after their set was up for an extra 20 minutes, just jamming out while the whole place erupted.

The Toasters are always a pleasure to watch. I've seen the band near 50 times over the past 27 years. The band is solid but not what they were back in their hey day. Nonetheless, I'd never miss them when given the opportunity.

Bucket list band for me. The Toasters are definitive in the world of Ska music, their shows are wild, fun, and after you hear them play, you'll never stop skankin' to the beat!
