Loved her voice and the music selection was great. Her husband was a talented musician and it seems they both could perform anything. I’m so glad I was able to finally see them!!

She is connected, dynamic, raw, versatile, engaging, constantly, emotive and that is done through her soulful voice and entire presence. She and Jon move intuitively through music… and we are welcomed into the obvious telepathy they share in reading their audience and taking us on a journey.
No other West Michigan duo can touch their ability to navigate so many genres and emote with musical excellence and deep heart.
Their full band simply amplifies the core energy and smooth ease of both making covers their own and bringing her own original songwriting into our hearts and making our feet move.
I have been following Serita since 2018… she just BRINGS IT. EVERYTIME!!!!

About Serita's Black Rose
Serita’s Black Rose from Grand Rapids Michigan has been performing collectively throughout the Midwest United States, Nationally and Internationally. Serita Crowley and Jon Hayes are at it's core, performing together as partners for nearly 2 decades. In 2012, they won WYCE’s Jammie Award for Best Short Form Album with their self titled EP release "Serita's Black Rose Vol. I". In 2013, the duo played an acoustic set as the opener for the legendary Smokey Robinson at Frederick Meijer Gardens. Serita has shared the stage with famous artists such as James Brown, Brian Vanderark of The Verve Pipe, KoKo Taylor, and many more. Serita's fiery, blues- and soul-infused vocals- along with her band Serita’s Black Rose brings out the very best in Funk, Rock, Blues and Soul that you will absolutely love!!
