Metal Scent

Metal Scent is an Israeli hard rock band, formed in 2006 by Drummer Ronen Ziony (Rony Zee) Guitarist Dror Yakar and vocalist Rami Salmon. Metal Scent considered by many people in Israel, to be one of the most prominent companies operating in Israel. Along with Ronen,Dror and Rami, the bands line up include Ben Metal on Bass and Sion Shalom on Guitars. On August 2006 their first Album was released and consisted of 10 Middle Eastern mega hit songs that were rearranged and recomposed to create new Metal versions of the originals. Metal Scent invited 10 Mega local stars to sing the songs dueting with Metal Scent's lead singer Rami Salmon. The result was a unique mixture of Eastern and oriental music with a Metal sound to it The Album was a success in Israel, the band toured and played all over the country and was invited to play on all major TV shows, along With 4 singles that were playing on all radio stations over Israel. The same year an American Music scoutor heard the band and liked the concept of the Album. That led the band to get signed with Crash Music for their second Album This time, taking Major American hit songs from the 60's, rearranging and recomposing them to get as a result fresh sounding Metal versions of the original material. The result was all time American hits dressed in Metal sound, with Middle Eastern Influences. Crash Music Luckily insisted that the Album will include at least 50% original material, so the band wrote 9 songs in a period of 2 month And it was really hard to choose which songs will be in the Album. Only 5 could be included. The New Album "Homemade" that was released October 2011 includes all original material for the first time. Almost all band members contributed to the song writing. The album (like it's name) was recorded at the home studios of the band's members And was mixed by Ronen Ziony who contributed countless sleepless nights and literally hundreds of mixing hours to get this Album complete. Metal Scent has toured Georgia, Ukraine and Russia during Summer 2011 and 2012,currently playing all over Israel promoting their new release. Metal Scent played as a support band for Uriah Heep on their two sold out concerts in Israel ( Amphi Vauhl and Shuni fortress) and for Aria on their Hangar 11 concert . Metal Scent toured Moscow/ S.T Petersburg on May 2013 playing the Moscow hall has a support band for Joe Lynn Turner,Music town,Jagger club etc, going on their Russian tour again to Moscow and Kazan during August 2013. During the years 2014 and 2015 Tured Metal Scent all over Israel and shared stages with "Aria","Epidemia" and more. The 4th Metal Scent's album "Rock on the water" 10 mega hits cover song rearranged by Metal Scent is to come out in public (available on Metal Scent's facebook) on 1-1-2016. The band is currently working on their 5th album all originals due to come out on spring 2016 and get ready for shows with "Udo" on May 7th 2016 and singer "Berkut" (Aria) on April 8th 2016 along with many other shows during 2016,among them "Glen Hughes" "Deep Purple" "Slash" "Sebastian Bach" and many more.
