About DJ Kane

He is no stranger in the music world, after a massively successful career as the original lead vocalist for the popular cumbia super group A.B. Quintanilla III y Los Kumbia Kings with his voice on six gold and multi- platinum albums and topping the Latin Billboard charts; DJ Kane would part ways with the group for a solo career and signing a recording contract with EMI Latin. In 2004 he released first solo album with the number one chart topping single “La Negra Tomasa” leading the album to number 8 on the Latin Billboard charts and earning him two Latin Grammy nominations and numerous awards. While touring with his new band in early 2005, DJ Kane would begin pre-production to second solo album which would be titled Capitulo II: Brinca and once again landing on the charts at number 28 with the single “Brinca” and earning another Latin Grammy nomination. He would spend 2 years touring all over the United States and Mexico promoting that second record which critics say was his best album. With 2006 nearing the end, DJ Kane would relocated to Miami, Florida to record with veteran Grammy Award winning producer and major studio musicians for his third solo album in 2007 “Capitulo III: Ahogando Penas” which had a new international sound with its singles “Mientele” and “Muchacha Triste” which would be his last album with EMI Latin as they would part ways. While working on his first English record, he was tapped to lead another already established cumbia group A.B. Quintanilla III y Los Kumbia All Starz and would spend a short time fronting the band with its familiar faces while releasing one studio album in 2010 with them. He also reunited with the first group that brought him fame Los Kumbia Kings for numerous television shows and a one night only sold out concert at the Palacio de los Deportes Arena in Mexico City, Mexico. For the next year DJ Kane would go on to release numerous independent digital singles and feature on projects while continuing to tour the states performing the his chart topping songs which his voice in known. In late 2011 he would go on to sign a recording contract with Miami based label Spanglish Global Enterprises, LLC and release the smash hit Corazon Partido which landed on the top 10 music charts in Bolivia. In 2013 he would form his new group Mi Stereo with another successful artist Ricky Rick and released their successful EP titled Tekila which would debut on the top of the Mexico music charts.
