Mental Wreckage | Warchetype

Mental Wreckage is the main alias of Lody Koehorst, a DJ & Producer from the east of The Netherlands, notorious for his refined dark taste in music. During Lody’s time as label boss of Symp.tom (the Industrial Hardcore subdivision of Neophyte Records), a good amount of compilations, mixes and releases came from his hand. After the Symp.tom label became defunkt following the bankruptcy of its mother label Mid-Town Records in 2011, he moved on to release his music on labels like Dark Descent and Noisj, and more recently Meta4 and Traumatic. So far, Lody did remixes for Meccano Twins, Neophyte and The Relic as well as collaborations with Moleculez, The Relic, Syndemic, Sarin Assault and Embrionyc (the latter two under the alias of Warchetype). Together with The Relic he also operates under the guise of Dual Mechanism, which is a side-project for their more experimental tracks.

As a DJ, Mental Wreckage is known for his excellent mixing skills, fine selection of tracks and dark taste. Some of his former DJ-gigs include Ground Zero, Thunderdome, Mysteryland, Hardshock Festival, Defqon.1, Nightmare Outdoor (with a Symp.tom Label Area in 2009), Masters of Hardcore, Nature One and many more.
