Dr.X

Dr.X is a band formed in early 2013 by Alex, Guillem and Mayer, friends who had been playing together since they were 15. In the next months, Victor and Karry joined them. With the band fully formed, they recorded their first EP ‘Meet the Doctor’ during the summer and released it on November 4th, 2013. The album received good reviews. After several months of gigs around Catalonia, Madrid and France, in June 2014 Guillem decided to leave the band. The rest of the members decided to not replace him and continue with only one guitarist. During 2015 the band stopped gigging to focus on the composition of new songs and in August they started to record ‘Reborn’, their first LP, a more prog rock oriented work. The album was released on July 7th, 2016 under label Eventhink Metal Records. _______ Dr.X es una banda formada a principios de 2013 por Alex, Guillem y Mayer, tres amigos que habían estado tocando juntos desde los 15 años. Meses después, Victor y Karry se les unirían como batería y vocalista respectivamente. Con la banda al completo, entran a grabar durante el verano su primer EP “Meet the Doctor”, que sería publicado el 4 de noviembre de 2013. El álbum recibió buenas críticas. Después de varios meses de conciertos alrededor de Cataluña, en Madrid e incluso en Francia, en junio de 2014 Guillem decide abandonar la banda. El resto de integrantes deciden no buscar un sustituto y continuar con un solo guitarrista. Durante 2015 la banda deja de lado las actuaciones en vivo para centrarse en la composición de nuevos temas. En agosto empiezan a grabar “Reborn”, su primer LP, un trabajo ligeramente más orientado hacia el rock progresivo. El álbum fue lanzado el 7 de julio de 2016 bajo el sello Eventhink Metal Records.
