“Eating spoonfuls of anxiety to the point of emotional nausea” is how lead singer/guitarist Jesús Núñez describes his then mental state that led to the end of their previous musical project. Núñez continues, “I don’t think any of us picked up our instruments for months (more like a year) but the distance was healthy.”

Long time collaborators, percussionist Dan Farias and multi-instrumentalist Nick George, along with Núñez, felt the massive void during that 2-year musical hiatus until that cool winter evening — (queue “we’re-getting-the-band-back-together” theme music). Hours after New Year’s Day the trio met at a dingy Starbucks in their old hometown in south Florida. Under the green umbrella they discussed what would be the modus operandi for the re-inspired group. Things would have to be burned down by a bold, adventurous fire and rebuilt with an adolescent DIY spirit.
