What do you do when you lose a vocalist on the eve of releasing a critically acclaimed debut album? If you’re Collapse, you find yourself a giant with a throat like shredded glass and show the world that you won’t ever give in. Formed in London, England, late 2009, the sole intention of this band is to make music with no compromise and take no prisoners, with core values of dedication, honesty, and worship of the almighty riff. ‘....In the Shadow of Man’ sees Collapse further refining their trademark attack, a vast progression in song-writing from 2013’s hugely acclaimed ‘Arms and the Covenant’ (Transcend Music). Marking the vocal debut of frontman Harry Watson and the fluid guitar skills of Christian Stevens. Teaming up once again with engineer Rohan Onraet (Slipknot/Machine Head), the band also sought out the un-paralleled drumming skills of Kevin Talley (Suffocation/Devildriver/The Black Dahlia Murder), flying him over from the US to work with them in the studio. With festival slots on major events like Download, Bloodstock, Hammerfest, Hedabangers Balls, Hard Rock Hell Ibiza and European shows with acts such as Anthrax, Devildriver, Gwar, Clutch, Armored Saint & Sodom, this is a band that have proven time and time again that they are able to deliver the goods and give the fans exactly what they want, an intense and entertaining live show.
