This show blew me away! A must see show like no other. The intensity of the entire evening was just beyond imaginable in these jaded times. Loved the Vanrays and also Shiloh Lindsey who opened too. The Railway club is super cool! I had just been reading John Doe’s book “Under the Big Black Sun” Which is a personal history of LA punk and it conveyed the feeling of how bands supported each other and played small clubs with a scene that was exciting and new. Big John Bates and his Noirchestra were wild and tremendously entertaining. They captured that feeling of 1977 that is rare to find nowadays. I was in from Miami and only in Vancouver for 2 days so it made my trip. Thank you Big John Bates, Brandy Bones, RequiEmily and Ty-Ty for a mesmerizing performance. The Vanrays were equally intense and Exciting!
