Having launched his professional career immediately after graduating from Jiyu Gakuen, Tomoharu Hani established himself as a prominent figure in Tokyo’s live music scene. Today, he is a highly acclaimed pianist, keyboardist, composer, arranger, and producer known for his versatility and emotive performance style.
Throughout his career, Hani has served as a composer, arranger, and stage support musician for a wide array of renowned artists, including Masaki Ueda, Tokiko Kato, Ken Tanaka, Baijaku Nakamura, and the legendary jazz singer Salena Jones. His work extends extensively into the commercial music field, where he has produced scores for television, film, and radio.
As a solo artist, Hani has released four solo piano albums through major labels. These works have been highly praised as "healing music" that captures the exquisite and ultimate beauty of the piano. In 2006, he expanded his discography with a piano trio album and has since released over ten albums, including compilations. Notably, his album Cafe Standard Piano HANI, released via Warner Music Inc. on February 23, 2011, achieved remarkable success, ranking 5th on the iTunes Store Jazz Top Album Charts.
Hani is also a dynamic live performer. In August 2015, he held a successful solo piano concert at the Shinjuku Bunka Center Main Hall. In recent years, he has garnered international attention through collaborations with global legends, including bassist Paul Jackson (The Headhunters), guitarist Tony Maiden (leader of RUFUS), and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Gordon Chambers during their Japan tours.
Since 2019, he has focused his energy on the "Tomoharu Hani Trio + 1 (Funky & Melodious)," a project that blends his jazz roots with a broad spectrum of musical styles to create a unique, genre-defying sound.
Following the release of his album Moon Tone in November 2020, Hani released his highly anticipated new album, Morning of Life, on December 20, 2025.

羽仁知治プロフィール

自由学園男子部高等科卒業後、プロとしての活動を開始し都内ライブハウス、コンサート等で演奏活動を経験。その後、作曲、レコーディングアレンジ、ピアニスト、キーボーディスト、プロデューサーとして活動。上田正樹、加藤登紀子、田中健、中村梅雀、Salena Jones等、幅広いジャンルのアーティストとのレコーディング、ステージサポート・作曲・アレンジ等を手がけ、テレビ/映画/ラジオ 番組の音楽制作及び出演など、商業音楽分野にて幅広く活躍。


個人での活動としては、メジャーレーベルよりソロピアノでのアルバムを4枚発表。ピアノの美しさを極限まで表現したヒーリング音楽作品として高い評価を得る。

2006年にはピアノトリオアルバムを発表、その後もオリジナル作品を創り現在までにコンピレーションも含め10作品を超えるCDを発表、2011年2月23日にはWARNER MUSIC INC.からアルバム「Cafe Standard Piano」HANIがiTunes Storeでのダウンロード発売を開始され、iTunes Storeジャズトップアルバムチャートで5位にランクインした。

また2015年８月には新宿文化センター大ホールにてソロピアノコンサートをするなどライブも勢力的にしている。最近はHeadHuntersのベーシストPaul JacksonやRUFUSのリーダー、ギタリストのTony Maiden.グラミー賞受賞のシンガーGordon Chambersのジャパンツアーでの共演も好評を博している。


2019年からはそれまで続けてきたジャズをベースに幅広い音楽性を取り入れた独自の音楽スタイルを中心に活動を展開する「羽仁知治トリオ＋１（Funky & Melodious）」の活動を精力的に行っている。


2020年11月25日CDアルバム「Moon Tone」をリリース。

2025年12月20日に新作アルバム「Morning of Life」をリリース
