About MO'SOME TONEBENDER

MO'SOME TONEBENDER
MO'SOME TONEBENDER [モーサム・トーンベンダー] are: Momo Kazuhiro [百々和宏] lead vocals and guitar; Takei Yasunori [武井靖典] bass guitar and backing vocals; Fujita Isamu [藤田勇] drums and backing vocals.
Loud and intense, MO'SOME TONEBENDER could not have come at a better time. MO'SOME TONEBENDER started putting out releases right when it seemed Japan 's rock revolution was over. The band proved that it was indeed not and has continued to put out solid releases since 1999.
Formed in Fukuoka in 1997, MO'SOME TONEBENDER's goal from the beginning was always about the change of sound and pushing the limits of sound with just guitar/bass/drums (some later releases would add random instruments such as a trumpet). This can be seen in noise-rock tracks like DRUM & NOISE and tenjou no hikui heya.
MO'SOME TONEBENDER got their beginnings at a label called QUATTRO/UK DISCS. Their first album was DRIVE which was released in October of 1999. MO'SOME TONEBENDER continued on this label until their release with trigger happy in November of 2003. trigger happy would be their most experimental album yet. Half of the album did not even contain any vocals from Kazuhiro and some of the tracks almost seemed like pure jam music with experimentation in computer sounds.
They signed on to Columbia after the release of trigger happy. Their first album on the label was The Stories of Adventure. It can be said this is the band's mellowest release to date. Gone are the long drones of noise and yells. But judging from their recent live performances it cannot be said that their loud side is gone forever as they still show the same raw energy that has been presented on almost their entire catalog.
