About Wired
There are at least three bands named Wired; A pop-punk band from New York, and a German improvisational jazz group who operated in the 70s, and a small local band in St. Louis, MO.
1. Winners of TAXIs Presidents Choice Award, Wired is a New York-based five piece pop-punk outfit that is making a big noise in the Tri-state area and all over the East Coast.
Wired has a tough, tuneful sound and a fresh batch of mega-hooky, radio-ready tunes with an underlying emo earnestness a combination that is pulling in young fans by the hundreds as the band plays the most happening local clubs in the prime slots.
Wired has already received heavy rotation in their own backyard, on radio stations such as Z-100, WBAB and WLIR. Every Little Thing, the first single off of their debut album Your First Time.
The band is currently touring the East Coast.
2. Wired was an avant-garde German jazz band who featured on one LP of the New Phonic Art 1973. Wired consisted of Mike Ranta on percussion, Karl-Heinz Böttner on stringed instruments, Mike Lewis on Hammond organ, and Conny Plank ("sound direction" aka production).
3. WIRED is a newer band, they preform their own versions of songs, as well as their own songs. Formally known as All Fallen Angels, Andrew Watson, the creator, thought the name change would be sufficient. Because of financial difficulties, the band broke up in December, 2007. Watson has been hard at work trying to raise awareness of the band, and has been successful; VERY successful. In the first week, he raised $3,500 from locals knowing what he has been going through. As of January, 2008, Watson has added new members such as Tucker, Tony, Sam, And Colin- their last names have been removed upon request. WIRED preforms everything to a modest Jimmy Buffet, to a hardcore Gwar. Today, Andrew Watson has raised over $10,000 dollars and unlike any 15 year old kid, he donates half of what he acquires to charity, and to the recovery to his father.
