My single "Pretenders" is the first release off of my debut EP that's being released at the end of October 2015. I am seeking empathy through sound. I am no stranger to being a road artist. I've been touring for the last 4 years and I have met so many people while I travel and I have heard so many of their stories. After a while I started to realize that there is a thread that connects them all. So many people feel alone including myself. Alone in our pain, alone in our doubt and alone in our journey. Which is irony at it's finest, right? We are all one giant community of the seemingly alone. When I started writing songs 13 years ago it was a way for me to take the feelings I was experiencing inside, remove them, and bring them to the outside world. This album is a collection of songs from different points in my life that are all derived using this method, but rather than it just be about pain that I was feeling, some of these songs reflect the loneliness of others that I met along the way. - Dan AN N.J.
