About Uncanny
Uncanny is an Alternative-Progressive Art Rock band that focuses on modern society issues. Their mission is to awake its public on the power it owns.
The founders, Etienne Lambert and Vincent Duchesne met at Felix-Leclerc Music Elementary. Summer 2015 they decided to play rock together. Etienne got a drum, Vince a Bass. Three years of jams and a few tryouts later, Martin Richard and Pierre-Luc Scott joined and Uncanny was born. Since then, they’ve been thriving outside the frame.
“We are solution oriented people.” says Vincent. "We won't tell anyone how to live their lives, but we'll tell how we choose to live ours. The decision is in the listeners hands."
The first EP is rooted in the vice of the city, the second is on doubts upon difficulties and the third one is on the mountain of challenges when we decide to take responsability on our path.
Landscape is the journey of a suburban citizen leaving his sanitized bubble to meet the “real world” of the city. Surprise, surprise, expectations will not meet reality. So comes the desert of doubts and the Mountain of struggles.
