Everclear

Awesome show! I give Art all the props in the world for rocking it out so hard with his MS. I was supposed to see them 23 years ago but my appendix burst. To finally see them live 23 years later was a dream come true and well worth the wait. Definitely a show I won’t forget.

This was Everclear show number 20 +/- for me (going all the way back to 1995), While they're always good, this was my least favorite Everclear show. This was also the first time my wife was able to come with me to an Everclear show, so I had big things in my head. Venue was awesome! Never been there before, but I'm glad I was able to experience the Capital Theater. The lead vocal mic was crap for the first two songs, in which case I'm glad someone fixed it. This was probably the first concert I've ever been to where there wasn't a sound check prior to the artist coming out (should have done a final sound check). Anyway, Art and the band let us know that they would be playing some old-school Everclear but there wasn't one song from Nervous & Weird, so that was disappointing. No short set encore, that was disappointing. Art used a line, "o oh, someone gave Grandpa a whammy-bar!" which is a great line, but I know I've heard that line before, maybe at a past show, maybe on Live from the Whiskey A Go Go. I did appreciate that Art hung around on stage afterwards to take pictures and sign autographs. Always a good time, maybe I just have high expectations. I’ve always bought VIP tickets to Everclear shows (and Art’s solo tour back in 2016) and this one has topped them all! The pizza and hangout with Art before the show was a dream come true and Brendan from Wheatus is absolutely underrated and so lovely! And Art’s show was just perfect! Art got everyone to sing happy birthday to me and also dedicated “Brown Eyed Girl” to me ❤️ about

I've never been to the Des Plaines Theatre before and I really liked it. I really liked the look and ambiance. You can hang out and have some dinner and drinks before and after the show. They make it easy to get drinks during the show too. So A+ on the venue. EVERCLEAR kicked ass! I felt like I was in my 20s again. My wife and I had a great time singing along to all their hits and I was jumping up and down like a mad man. It was the most fun I had at a concert in a long time! If you like Everclear and they're performing near you, I HIGHLY recommend going to see them live. Even after all these years, they still know how to Bring IT!

Since Tom Petty's death I have been going to every concert I can. This was by far my favorite. You guys killed it. El Corazon is great venue. (Okay its an absolute dive) But I'm not kidding, this was the best concert I've been to. We were so close to the band. They sang every song I love. I can't say enough how great of an experience this was. I really hope you guys come back someday.

These guys rock! They put on a killer show! And afterwards, they came down on their own to say thanks for coming. No special pass needed. We were the last people there even after the crowd left they were still hanging out, good down to earth guys just like any normal everyday person. Will definitely go see them again!

I really like Art & the band. One of my rock'n'roll heroes from that era; an era where too few have survived. And for me that was a huge part of the show and the whole everclear aesthetic-- the redemptive power of rock music. The set was a mix of radio hits, and some less familiar songs that had meaning for the band. Local God, AM Radio, Heroine Girl, Strawberry (my fave), Santa Monica. All delivered with great energy. Art commented on his age & health during the show, and maybe his singing lagged later in the show, but the rest of the band kept the energy level high and fun. Mostly it was an honest and heartfelt show and that is what I went to see. "Won't ya do it again..."

Seeing Everclear was a bucketlist concert for me and it did not disappoint. The band sounds great live and their openers were well-chosen. You can tell they enjoy making music, touring, and connecting with people. They played what the crowd expected and it was good energy and engagement. They signed autographs after the show--not just for VIPs and I got to have a quick conversation with Art Alexakis. I was impressed at how authentic/genuine he was in that interaction as I thanked him for making music that is so raw/real and shared my late bf struggled with addiction. He took time to offer condolences and ask questions that showed he cared. And I think that's why he writes the songs he does, to help process hardships and humanize it in such a way as to provide encouragement and shared experience. I respect that and him immensely.

The vip experience was not good. We got redirected multiple times and were told that we were at the wrong table. Then we got in line behind people that were not part of the vip merch experience. It was all frustrating to pay extra and not have any real need to do so. The band was great, but the mix was terrible. It was all bass and vocal and you couldn’t hear the guitars.

It's taken me 28 years to finally get to see them, and I was NTo disappointed. I wish I had sen them every other time they had come to Australia, but this was definitely my favourite concert that I have ever been too. Intimate, fun, every moment was an absolute joy. Can't wait for Art and the boys to come back and tour the next album!

What an amazing and treasured time spent with these guys! I love how authentic they are with their fans, they know how to make us knuckleheads really feel special. I think back to 25 years ago when I would listen to their songs on repeat and never would the 19 year old me have imagined that I’d get to meet these guys not only once, but 5 times during their various tours! The VIP package is such fantastic value and I only wish I could afford to attend more of the Brissie concerts!

I heard George Thorogood give an interview on why he doesn't inject politics into his shows. He understands what it takes for some of his fans to just make it out to a show, not to mention giving up thier hard earned money to see him. I wish other bands were as enlightened as George. Art was more than happy to tell Republicans to leave his show. The Party of tolerance. The show itself was fine. The vocals were pretty weak.

Everclear was great, as were Fastball and the Nixons. Not sure if Art was serious or kidding when he said he mixed up the set list and forgot some lyrics. Skydeck is a nice venue where you can get really good food at the Assembly Good Hall and bring it into the venue. It’s definitely worth the extra cost for a reserved table for four at Skydeck.

I bought tickets to this show for my husband's birthday. Everclear was his favorite band in high school when we started dating. This was our first time at JD Legends. We loved the special section in front of the stage for Premium/VIP customers. Our server was wonderful, and the drinks were great. Will definitely go back.

It's not often you are allowed to get this close to artists. This show was a rare chance to meet the guys and listen to songs they like to play. Great intimate theatre to experience an acoustic show. I first attended this theater in 1975 when it was the 1st Baptist church. Beautiful building with a great history that provides an unique opportunity to get up close and personal. You won't regret seeing a show here.

Everclear was great and put on a good show....so no issues there. Had regular VIP tickets....which was a waste for the most part and to pay for a "meet and greet" pre-show was a little too much to pay for myself and my 2 teenage boys. the standard VIP is really not much closer to the stage than GA.....so I wouldn't spend the extra money. Parking was reserved for VIP....so that was good. Entry was a little unorganized as apparently the "meet n greet" sessions ran ling so we had to toggle back and forth between the GA enterance and VIP entrance. The show was over an hour late starting. Show said it was all ages.....which as mentioned previously I had 2 teen boys with me.....yet drinks near VIP area only serves alcohol or water......so if you wanted anything else you had quite a jot. Didn't eat anything while we were there, but heard good things. A lot of rude patrons.....but that's expected most places you go. Overall rating is a 3.....maybe 3.5.

Everclear came to rock. However the sound system was providing a lot of hum and feedback. They were visibly not happy with the quality of the sound. Check in was a nightmare. Will call app was not that great and the line was long and the teens they had at the front checking ID's to get tickets didn't have a clue as they read off a list of names that were in no specific order. They started to tell me my name wasn't on the list and I offered to help and found my own name.

Concert was absolutely amazing! Fastball, Vertical Horizon, and Everclear came to play! My only disappointment was that I payed for VIP tickets that advertised a poster signed by Everclear. I got a poster but it wasn't signed. Not enough for me to get worked up over but it was one of the selling points to justify my ticket purchase. They did do a signing after the concert but everyone was being so rude in the line that I decided not to deal with it as it was late and I had a long drive home.

Unfortunately we didn't stay for Everclear because it was so hot , we were sunburnt, hungry, and thirsty. We had been there since 2 because I couldn't find anything online about what bands were playing when. The other bands were great and I'm sure Everclear would have been also, I saw them before in 96, they are one of my favorite bands, but at $4 a water, I couldn't afford to buy any more and the food was ridiculously expensive too.

The performances were great but.... The sound was horrible. This is my third time attending a live show at the Wildhorse and while I very much enjoyed them the sound is horrible. I'm not quite sure what it is but I struggle to hear the performers over the music. Its as if their microphones are not turned up enough to be heard over the music and it's been that way each time. Not really sure that my husband and I will return for anymore events.
