Fast Lane

One dull and extremely drab evening, Doc Roc and Skyntyte pondered the possibility of forming a band capable of funkitizing galaxies and getting EVERY party started and keeping it at "full throttle." FAST LANE is the result. Skyntyte’s credentials include tutelage under three members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; Parliament-Funkadelic co-founder Shady Grady Thomas, Parliament-Funkadelic and Talking Heads keyboard maestro, Bernie Worrell and "The Originator" himself, Bo Diddley. Skyntyte's list of artists he has shared the stage with is long and varied: George Clinton and The P-Funk Allstars, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cameo, Buddy Miles, Tower of Power, Dennis Edwards & The Temptations, and Dr. John just to name a few; and when he is not performing with Fast Lane, he plays and sings with Original "P" Parliament-Funkadelic.....Dr. Rock studied music theory at Boston College and is an accomplished pianist, having played in various musical combos since childhood. Keith Whitesel has been sining since childhood, add to his rhythmic capabilities, it makes him an integral rhythm master who's chops are essential to THE FAST LANE backbeat; in a word, he lays a groove that is sure to make you move. Greg Mullins brings a refreshing approach to the low end with his ease of maintaining "the pocket" while simultaneously adding his unique melodic bass accompaniment. Cesar Cartagena grew up plauing the the Maryland/Washington DC/Virginia tristate area, before grooving around Chicago. He honed his chops while working for a cruise line and now brings hishorn chops to the FAST LANE. Rounding out the band is Deby Starr. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she is a very experienced and brings her fiery passion to the FAST LANE. No matter what size of your event and/or venue, FAST LANE will rock the house with the same passion during each performance. FAST LANE will get your party started at the beginning of the night and keep on rockin’ till last call.
