Darrell Crawford, Worship Drummer

Darrell began playing Drums at the age of 5, beating on empty lard buckets his Grandma gave to him. While in the 8th grade, he traded the buckets in for a concert snare and it all began! While attending Rowan County Senior High School, he enrolled in Marching Band and Concert Band. The first year was very trying for Darrell.. learning to read sheet music and rhythms wasn't an easy task and he almost gave it all up! But, with the guidance from Phillip Shepherd, Ken Henry and Pat Petrillo (now a famous Drummer, Clinician, Instructor) and his Parents he was determined to do it! He later joined the Pep Band where he got acquainted with the Drum set! It was almost natural. With lessons from renowned, New York Drummer, Pat Petrillo (Morehead State Alumni) things were rolling. After graduating High School in 1986, Darrell was in several local bands and such. In the early 90's he found himself sharing the same stages as well known Country Music artists in the KY, OH and WV Tri-State areas opening for such artists as Tim McGraw, Wynona, Dolly Partin, Billy Ray Cyrus among many others. Darrell was the Drummer for Country Music Independent artist, Chris Troy in 1995. Touring many states in 8 months.
You may have seen him playing for KY Country Music artists from Louisville to Ashland, such as, Harry & the Hoe Handles, Mandy Reichert, Kelly Casey, Whitney Acke, Dwain Messer, Dustin Burchett, Paul Pace and many other talented Musicians! Today, he is the Worship Drummer for the Morehead based up and coming Contemporary Christian group, TLC Worship.
