WHO IS THAT DJ, un duo di DJ/Producer, composto da Gregory Colla e Stefano Pedone, amici di vecchia data con la passione per la EDM. Gregory Colla ha più di vent'anni d'esperienza nel settore. Inizia a praticare il deejaying a soli 17 anni e se ne innamora. La passione e la costanza fanno il resto portandolo a calcare la scena di importanti locali italiani e spagnoli. All'età di 23 anni si butta a capofitto nell'attività di producer. Entrato a far parte della Bliss Corporation, collabora con artisti del calibro di Da Blitz, Bliss Team, Eiffel 65 e Gabry Ponte. Stefano Pedone si avvicina alla musica all'età di 16 anni quando inizia a studiare pianoforte. La sua passione lo porterà a studiare anche canto lirico e danza presso il Teatro Nuovo di Torino. A ventidue anni inizia a praticare il deejaying. Da qui a diventare producer il passo è breve. Nel 2011 grazie ad Internet riesce a catturare con i suoi arrangiamenti, mix e remix l'attenzione del pubblico degli internauti e del suo amico fraterno Gregory. Proprio in questo periodo nasce il progetto WHO IS THAT DJ che segue la tendenza odierna dei performer di presentarsi alla consolle mascherati. Si differenziano, però, dagli altri dj che guardano alla sci-fi come i Daft Punk, i Djs From Mars o Deadmau5 per il fatto di presentarsi sulla scena vestiti come il personaggio de "Il Macellaio" interpretato da Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs of New York, facendo quindi un salto indietro nel tempo al 1846 nel degradato quartiere dei "Five Points" della suddetta città. Come producer i WHO IS THAT DJ, attualmente, collaborano con la MCU Records (UK), la Dance And Love (Italy), l'etichetta di Gabry Ponte, e la Betty Beat Records (Germany). Le loro sonorità sono il frutto di una continua ricerca sperimentale che si unisce al loro background culturale. Il loro stile spazia tra i generi quali: Dubstep, Complextro, Electro House, Progressive House. ENG WHO IS THAT DJ are an Italian DJ/Producer duo founded by Gregory Colla and Stefano Pedone: two good friends who have a burning passion for Electronic Dance Music. Gregory Colla has been working for more than twenty years in the music industry. When he was seventeen, he began to dj and fell in love with it. Through passion and hard work, Gregory has been able to dj at some of the best known night clubs in Europe. When he was twenty-three years he also became producer and upon joining the Bliss Corporation, he worked with famous artists such as: Da Blitz, Bliss Team, Eiffel 65 and Gabry Ponte. Stefano Pedone was sixteen years old when he began to play the piano. His passion for music made it possible him to study opera and dance at Teatro Nuovo in Turin, Italy. When he was twenty-two he began to dj and after a few years he also became a producer. In 2011, he started to generate a lot of interest from industry professionals and fans alike and that’s when he met Gregory! In 2011 the WHO IS THAT DJ project was born. It follows the trend of some djs to perform wearing masks. However, the WHO IS THAT DJ look is different from those of other djs who look to science-fiction for their inspiration such as: Daft Punk, DJs from Mars and Deadmau5. WHO IS THAT DJ, on the other hand, take their inspiration from Daniel Day Lewis in “Gangs of New York” - a throwback to 1846. As music producer WHO IS THAT DJ mixes Gregory's and Stefano's cultural background with avant-garde research.
