Watch it Burn

Root Of Heresy is a 5 piece Metal/Hard Rock band from Johannesburg, South Africa. The band formed in June 2011, founded by vocalist/guitarist Jacques de Beer. Richard Globisch (Guitar) and Ching-Yen Huang (Keyboard) were the next musicians to join the band and with their layered approach to writing music, they added a more textural sound to Jacques syncopated riffing. The band was completed with the rhythm section of Jacques Jacobs (Bass) and Cale Waddacor (Drums). Watch It Burn began gigging late 2011 and has since played next to bands such as Facing the Gallows, Bringing a Shark to a Gunfight, Legions Ablaze, Beseech the Enemy, State Dependency and many more. 2013 saw the departure of Cale Waddacor and the introduction of drummer Peter Pistorius.
