About Lina Nyberg
Lina Nyberg is all-in-one: singer, composer, lyricist. She is one of the central figures of Swedish modern jazz and has, since her debut in 1993 been awarded a Swedish Grammy, Swedish Radio’s jazz prize, The Lars Gullin-award and the Swedish Royal Academy of Music Jazz prize.
The work with Anniverse started with Lina,(also being the producer of the album), asking her band members - pianist Cecilia Persson, guitarist David Stackenäs, bass player Josef Kallerdahl and drummer Peter Danemo (all renowned composers) - to send her ten words that they associate with a specific month of the year. Then Lina wrote lyrics based upon those words and the band members (and herself) composed the music.
