Izan

Bio:

Ismael Olague, better known to his followers and fans as Izan, never started out wanting to chase his dreams as a producer, in fact he never saw music as a career when he was younger. Born in Oakland, California he was always athletic and wanting to be the next soccer superstar or the next track athlete with his picture on the Wheaties box. But being born into a family that has music in their blood was something he couldn’t run away from, in fact he began his journey as a young child listening to his father and older brother DJ at small events or private parties, trying to teach himself by watching them. Taking their techniques and making it into something different, something he could call his own, it was then when he heard his first house track, and when that track was over he knew he had found his life long journey.
Izan started off as DJ Rok!t, playing with his father and brother going around the San Francisco Bay Area playing at small halls and learning how to improve his mixing and grow his knowledge around the dance music scene, loving it more and more after every track he played and listened to. When he first began to produce he changed his name to Dareus, learning the basics of producing making small beats to local artists and rappers trying to gain more experience and knowledge when it was then he discovered how much he had grown to love the dance music scene and vowed to himself that he would pursue his dreams of becoming a producer and make music that makes everyone smile and dance.
When he made his vow he became Izan; using his Hispanic background he fused his culture with his love of dance music in hope to not only create music he loves, but also share the love he has for dance music with the whole world. Izan currently plays around the Bay Area for many clubs, all mostly belonging to the San Francisco Nightlife and continues to produce music, testing his new tracks on the dance floor every moment he gets.
