Stephen McWhirter

Before “Come Jesus Come,” Stephen McWhirter was an addict who hated Jesus. He grew up the son of a preacher and wanted nothing to do with any of it. After eleven years of addiction, Jesus saved his life. Now he’s the writer of that Grammy-winning song, a Dove and BMI Award winner, and the author of the bestselling Radically Restored. “Come Jesus Come” has amassed over 100 million streams and has been recorded by CeCe Winans and Shirley Caesar. His new album, Death Never Stood a Chance, produced by Colby Wedgeworth and Luke Johns, leads with the single “How Bad” — a song about finding out and never forgetting how bad we need God. Tens of thousands have come to Christ through Stephen’s story and music.
