About The Painkillers
The latest version of Painkillers is Steve Moos (guitar, keys, mando, songs), Don Kirkpatrick (lead guitar), Rick Moors (bass), Carol McArthur & Lauri Reimer (harmony vocals), Julia "The Dutchess" Thornton on percussion, and sometimes Tom Walsh on drums.
Playing a collection of songwriter Steve Moos’ soulful, bluesy songs and some choice cover tunes, each performance is a unique and memorable musical experience. Along with founding members Don Kirkpatrick on lead guitar and Moos on guitar, mandolin and keyboards, the Painkillers include Rick Moors on bass, Carol McArthur & Lauri Reimer on harmony vocals, Julia “The Dutchess” Thornton on percussion, and sometimes Tom Walsh on drums. The Painkillers channel the greats from Muddy Waters and The Band to Dylan and The Grateful Dead, with some New Orleans flavor and a seminal flow that amazes their listeners. The band’s spontaneous combustion, tasty vocal harmonies, and organic energy will wow you every time. The band’s credits are extensive & widely based from the likes of Rod Stewart, Amy Grant, Michael Bolton, Merle Haggard, Lucinda Williams, Richard Thompson, Dwight Yoakam, Elvis Costello, EmmyLou Harris, John Prine, Spyro Gyro, Dennis Quaid & the Sharks, Rosemary Butler, and more. https://www.facebook.com/ThePainkillersMusic
