David Phelps

Absolutely Marvelous! Definitely worth the money and time to see him live, the show was great! Drove almost 2 hours to get to see him in concert and it was worth every dollar I paid for gas, food, and lodging to be able to see him. If you ever have the opportunity to fo see him you definitely should. Will definitely go and see him again if the opportunity arises

David was awesome and just over the top!. His voice was clear, smooth, and seems to get better and better with age! I have been attending every concert he has had in my area for years. I loved his selection of songs many bringing back great memories of his earlier days. The new songs were so good and his band and background singers are totally the best. He looks great, love his new hair color and style and physical appearance. Can’t wait to see him again.

This by far was one of the best concerts that I have ever heard David Phelps sing the folks that were with him instrumentally and singing we're fabulous. The entire show was excellent. Although I appreciate the testimony Of the comedian that was with him. I was not extremely impressed by his comedy. I will Attend any local concerts with David Phelps whenever he is local. His new love tour is the greatest. He, by far has one of the greatest voices. I have ever heard and the thing I like most about him he is so humble about it, then gives god the glory and praise for it praise that for singers like David

Dad and Mom came to spend the weekend with us in Morehead. Dad and I were able to surprise Mom last night and take her to see one of her all time favorite Christian Artist, David Phelps. The day before, her and I were riding in the car and I played, We Shall Behold him by Phelps (if you haven't heard him sing, you are missing out) and she sang along, even hit the high notes as she is an Alto singer. 😇 and then put her hands together and said... if only I could see him in person! I had to turn and look out the window so she wouldn't see my tears of Joy that we could do this for her! My Mom has always been my absolute ROCK, always guiding me with gentle hands to Christ! She has loved her family with unconditional love always. She has such a calming spirit about her and I know that comes from her steadfast love for God and her family. These days I am able to spend with her and my Dad since I retired have been a incredible blessing! Spend the time, take the pictures, and most importantly Love your family with all you have! Mr. Phelps at the end of his concert sang my all time favorite, No more night, which was sang by my friend, Kelly Bailey at my son Dylan's funeral. All three of us just cried and sang through the tears as we praised God! Mr. Phelps was given an incredible gift of a voice and I am so thankful that is continues to follow God's calling for him. Micky Bell, clean comedian is touring with Phelps and we all just laughed until we cried! He has an incredible testimony! What a Blessings last night was! Life is short and God is oh so good! Wake up everyday day and Choose Joy, laughter and kindness only God can give!

This was my first time seeing David Phelps and at South Church. It was a fantastic performance and an excellent venue. I was very impressed with the quality of David's voice and his interaction with the audience. I enjoyed his Christian and secular songs; his backup singers and musicians were fantastic! The venue was warm and accommodating, and I would return here for future events. I am starting to watch David's performances on YouTube and downloading some of my favorites. They are very inspiring!!

No voice on this planet is as clear and powerful as David Phelps. So it surprised me a little that his backup band was so loud and that his sound people didn’t modulate it better. And the comedian who opened the evening and at intermission asked for money to feed poor families (after sharing his testimony) was classic cruise-ship schmaltzy. Pure David…that’s what I wanted most.

The comedian was far too political for me. Not everyone who enjoys Christian music has the same bigoted views as what he assumes we do. His mocking of members of the Democratic leadership was disgraceful. I was almost ready to walk out during the first portion of his shtick, but I had paid to see David Phelps and I didn't want to miss him. However, speaking of that, when I actually pay for a concert ticket (with fees) for an artist, I do not expect to be prosalatyzed into/for a charity. This took up a good half hour of time that could have been spent on music and avoided the need for an additional intermission. I was sooo excited for this concert to lift my Christmas spirit, and, unfortunately, I was let down. In the future, I will be sure to investigate further to find out what "additional" acts are being added to what should have been a beautiful night of music. This was an amazing concert! Opened by Mickey Bell was also a treat. He is clean, funny, and has a great testimony to share. David Phelps has an incredible voice that has to be experienced in person. I was blown away for most of the night. Fellowship Baptist was also a really good venue. Not too big, but big enough to allow for a fun audience. I would do this again, in a heartbeat!

A smaller venue, phenomenal acoustics and a very intimate atmosphere. David Phelps is absolutely incredible. His voice, vocal range, stage presence, and showmanship is beyond compare. His supporting cast, singers and musicians, were wonderful, and the show was absolutely beyond compare. It was well worth the three hour drive (each way), and we will do it again in the near future.

I absolutely love listening to DP and never imagined I would ever see him sing in person. We came from Nova Scotia, Canada to visit the Creation museum and Ark Encounter and looked to see if he would happen to be around. I couldn't believe he was only an hr drive from where we were. It was amazing. Emotional. Heart warming. Mickey Bell was also there and he did a phenomenal job. I will never forget this and will forever be one of my best memories!

David was so good!! He was amazing!! It's one of those things you don't want to end. His voice just goes above and beyond all else! Anyone would be lucky to see him live and in concert. He far exceeds videos you find online. One day, it would be great to meet him and tell him thank you for sharing your voice with all of us. The songs you write and share are powerful and anointed! Moonlight is and always has been a favorite song as well, even before I knew people put words to it.

I totally enjoyed the concert in Wentzville Sunday night. David doesn't disappoint!!! Too many incredible moments with his voice and his back up singing, and the band wow!!!!! Can't wait to go to another concert. I'm going to have to save up for the barn show in Tennessee. That would be great at Christmas time. Thank you David, for signing my picture of you, and the cds. You are the best. God's blessings on you all. And your family as well.

He is so gifted - but I was disappointed with many of his song choices. Too many secular choices with meaningless lyrics for a "Christian" concert. I think he could have made better choices and had a better witness for God, and used the time more wisely. His talent is amazing - showcase it for the One who blessed you with this incredible voice!! :)

The music beautifully showcased his range and talent - no disappointment there. What was disappointing: 1) his stage time seemed much shorter than the stage time of the other artists and he was the headliner 2) He seemed very stiff and didn't really engage with the audience - since this was my first time seeing him live, maybe this is just the way he does it - but I was surprised and disappointed since half the fun of a concert is how the artist engages with their audience.

The show was better than I imagined and David held nothing back. We were uplifted spiritually and completely blown away by his voice and talents. The band and back up singers were larger than life as far as the sound quality and variations in musical styles. We heard gospel hits, Nese Dorma, and popular songs which showcased David’s voice well. We loved the halftime event announcing the Holt International Adoption organization. We sponsored two little girls. The only negative thing about the experience was someone was sick with a cough and now me and my husband are terrible ill.

I love David! He has the purest, most unique, and powerful voice I've ever heard! He is likely the greatest living tenor in the world. We all came to know David through the Gaither videos and the Gaither Vocal Band. The show was in a Baptist Church. The audience was comprised of middle aged and senior adults who were no doubt amazed by the versatility of his incredible voice. However, based on my read of the audience and the comments from many who attended, they were disappointed because of the music selections, and the sheer volume. We would have all loved to hear the hymns and southern gospel songs that touch the heart and inspire the spirit within us sung as only David can sing them. He is truly gifted and could use that remarkable "instrument" of his to draw others to the God who gifted him with that voice.

My 21 year old granddaughter came with my and was very surprised when she found herself standing with her hands up praising God. For her 82 year old grandfather that made it a five l was a fan of David’s dating back to his performance at Columbus Ave Baptist church in Waco He sang in Baylor Men’s Choir and sang a solo part

This is the 3rd Barn Bash we hav been to and it was phenomenal. David was his usual with his God given talent. He gives everything he has in his concerts and never disappoints. David has more than talented he is gifted. His daughters are an incredible addition to his concerts and they are extremely talented themselves. This is becoming a Christmas tradition for us. Such a wonderful Blessing.

He was phenomenal as always!! The locals could have turned down the choir, the instruments and other singers a few notches so you could hear his voice better as well as turn the lights and focus onto him. He was silhouetted quite a bit with the lights and we wanted so much to see him sing when he was singing. He is the one we really wanted to hear and see the most. He is well worth seeing every time he comes to town!!!!! I'm so glad he came through!!!!!

It was awesome David you are her favort singer.I surprised her with the tickets.She said it the tickets where the best gift she had ever gotten..Thank you for making her happy...She had a great time last night.. Please come back to Cal again...Please come back to California again..Hope to see you at the barn bash 2017 (that's mom in the pic)
