The Stratagem

Beginning in December of 2012, this hybrid of diverse musicians has made serious impact within the Australian metal industry. Moving from a metal background towards a death core oriented approach, the band are in the process of promoting their 2013 self-titled EP via an array of shows across the nation, whilst writing for the highly anticipated debut full length, set for release this year. Already, within the year The Stratagem have grown to be no strangers to success. Since their inception, the band have played with a plethora of prominent bands within the industry, such as Oceano, Aversions Crown, Feed Her To The Sharks, Far West Battlefront and Absolution to name a few. What is most striking about The Stratagem is the diversity and adaptability of the band. Despite their heavy influences, including bands such as Job For A Cowboy, Whitechapel, Volumes and Veil of Maya, the band also draws upon their past influences within the metal and rock genres.
