Focuri

Focuri (Romanian for "Fires") is comprised of brothers Alin Cozma (guitars) and Silviu Cozma (drums), Ovidiu Șindrilaru (vocals / synth) and Răzvan Murariu (bass). Since their early teens Alin and Silviu, as well as friend and collaborator Ovidiu, had experimented with multiple styles and made music under various names, with various other members. In 2010, they laid the foundation of Focuri as a natural evolution of their collective experiences. The outcome was a progressive and metal sounding band, drawing inspiration from each member's multiple and distinct musical influences. After two years of creative work as well as continuing their already established habit of playing live, in December 2012 they self-produced the EP "Distant Path", assisted by Cătălin Airinei (Phossilah) on recording. This EP allowed them to join the lineup of a series of contests and festivals while also promoting their music live across the country. From that time, some of Focuri's achievements are: the Grand Prize at Posada Rock Fest 2013, finalists at Wacken Metal Battle 2013, finalists at The Road to Kavarna Rock 2014, semifinalists GBOB 2015. Their creative work wasn't put on hold and they were also rehearsing new material while looking for a new bass player. Eventually, in 2016 they entered Alex Studio in Roman where, with Matias Endoor on mixing/mastering, they began work on recording and producing their first full-length. The album, consisting of ten tracks, was released on December 2nd 2017 under the name "Imminent Conflict" through a special live event held in their hometown of Roman, in the Neamt county.
