About Mephisto Walz
Mephisto Walz are legendary for their contributions to the death rock genre, having been an inspiration to a whole host of contemporary gothic artists. Mephisto Walz was formed by Barry Galvin in 1985 after having departed from death rock progenitors Christian Death.
Mephisto Walz have an accomplished discography behind them, having released several well respected full-length albums over the course of their existence (most notably through Cleopatra Records).
In 2002, The Fossil Dungeon were proud to release the limited edition signature CDR single entitled "Nightingale," showcasing the band's latest recording efforts. This new exclusive song (extended version), along with a new track entitled "Witches Gold," is available for the first time as a limited and luxorious gatefold 7inch EP and limited CD.
The "Nightingale" single exemplified that Mephisto Walz are still a very active band and that they remain one of the most appreciated artists within the gothic rock genre. Their new album, "Insidious," reinforces their presence as a leading ethereal rock ensemble.
