Southern Storm

Sometimes fate takes control and in the case of Southern Storm that is so true! A double booking at a local rehearsal venue meant two fledgling bands wanting to audition potential members in the same room…. but there’s a twist to this story! Not everybody turned up for the audition, so the two separate groups still decided to make use of the room booking by having a jam session! Southern Storm were born! All in their twenties, with a wide range of rock influences, this energetic four piece band from South Devon have developed their own melodic Rock sound with a southern style influence, sassy and infectious. Their new EP, Knuckle Down, is a ramp up both musically and creatively, demonstrating the ability and future potential of Southern Storm from their previous EP release, Burlesque, made up of five high power tracks, which in itself created much interest, featuring on BBC Introducing and more recently on American station Neue Regel Radio. To complement that EP a video version of the track, Stand and Fight is available and provides the perfect lighter visual to go with the powerful lyrics and meaning behind the song and at the same time giving a glimpse of the bands personality. Playing live, the band bring their songs to the audience with a got to watch, can’t look away performance, with front man Tim Sings. On the occasions that the band choose to play a cover, then it’s always with their own unique style stamped all over it! Southern Storm are playing across the Southwest for the remainder of 2017 with plans to tour UK wide after recently returning from gigs in the Netherlands promoting both their EP and video as well as new tracks currently being worked on.
