About The Elk Tribe

Since they started out in early 2013, The Elk Tribe have claimed a solid spot in the Okanagan. Quickly moving their way up the musical food chain, their alternative folk sound could no longer be denied. Their success became even more clear when they were asked to be apart of the 2013 Salmon Arm Roots and Blues only being together for six months “Having heard them and knowing what they are capable of” - Hugo Rampen. Finishing recording early 2014 they played a sold out concert for the release of their debut album Over Mountains and Meadows. The Elk Tribe came to be when the Harder brothers Zach, Levi and Brayden were joined by David McMaster and Amanda Harder. A few try out sessions quickly made them realize how much they loved to make music and they quickly took to the streets to share their sound. With Zach now covering percussion with kick and tambourine and rhythm guitar, Brayden driving the Bass with the occasional vocal and David playing the violin and the mandolin, the band’s sound is rock solid. Add lead vocals by Levi and Amanda to that strong foundation and you get the unique sound that defines The Elk Tribe. The Band is currently working on their next single “Dark Ocean” planned for release early summer 2015. Progressive Alternative Folk. Making sounds we like to hear.
