Two great artists that honestly I just happened upon finding this current tour and concert just 2 weeks prior to the date. I debated the concert as I didn't want to drive nearly 2 hours to go to Cinci area, considering many of the concerts will also be here within the Columbus area. I'm glad I decided to check things out however, as this venue will be one that for any future favorites that end up playing here will be automatically purchased upon my finding out. The acoustics of the venue and sound within is something that you're not going to find most places, nor have the plethora of venues I've attended come anywhere close to touching! Five stars all the way around with two unreal performances from Isakov and LaMontagne as I had expected, but also for this venue and professionalism of the Andrew J Brady Music Center...this place just etched itself into my own top venues!

Excellent laid back show. Ray and his band sounded great. Ray shared details about his songs and their history, the crowd was respectful, acoustics were great. Secret Sisters did a nice opening set and joined Ray for a few tunes as backup singers and added a lot to the set. "Americana" music at its best.

Gregory and Ray both put on an incredible show. Both set lists were on point mixing plenty of new with a wonderful selection of past greats. Erin Rae was perfect as an opener, her voice is absolutely beautiful. So glad I made the effort to drive up to LA in rush hour traffic and stay out late on a work night!

About Ray LaMontagne
Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne returns to the stage on his Just Passing Through acoustic tour, highlighting songs from his vast and varying body of work. LaMontagne will be playing songs spanning across his albums including Trouble, Till The Sun Turns Black, Gossip in the Grain, God Willin’ & The Creek Don’t Rise, Supernova, Ouroboros, and Part Of The Light.
On his previous solo tours, critics across the US were raving about his performance. Consequence of Sound said, “Hearing Ray LaMontagne perform live is a poignant and magical experience,” while The Boston Herald raved, “LaMontagne's voice remains a marvel, quiet and reflective one minute and forceful and impassioned the next. It really is an amazing instrument.”
Ray LaMontagne has released 7 studio albums, 5 of which have reached Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart and Billboard’s Digital Albums chart. Additionally, Ray’s 2010 album God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise won the Grammy for Best Folk Album and was nominated in the coveted Song of The Year category for “Beg Steal or Borrow.”
Each release from his catalogue over the last 13 years carries its own character and feel. Having worked with producers Ethan Johns, Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys and Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Ray’s vast sonic catalogue has been called everything from “a perfect throwback to the lost art of the album-length format,” from Entertainment Weekly to “epic and magical,” from Rolling Stone and “gorgeous and ambitious,” from Esquire. NPR’s All Things Considered said that Ray throughout the course of his career “has continued to push himself in different directions,” while People called Ray a “marvel of nature.”
