Born in Los Angeles and raised with Hip-Hop, INGWELL was immersed in the “battle” DJ culture, watching and learning from the likes of DMC champ, A-Trak, and beat battle legend/producer, Illmind. Early 2006, INGWELL started showcasing at numerous events, then eventually landed multiple residencies at renowned venues and perfected the art of open format DJing. Armed with his unique blend of skills, INGWELL became an outlier, always pushing musical boundaries, seamlessly blurring the lines of music genres while rocking a crowd. In three short years, INGWELL joined the ranks as an on-air DJ of the Los Angeles mainstay, Power 106 FM. INGWELL soon honed his beat making abilities towards soulful anthems, huge bass, and big room build ups & drops. He kept his Hip-Hop roots and weaved a sound that became appreciated by a broad audience that spans across a whole spectrum of music; EDM to Hip-Hop. In 2013, his breakout remix of Marvin Gaye's “Let's Get It On” gained worldwide support and recognition, being played on BBC 1 and BBC 1xtra and as well as his home at Power 106 FM. This year, INGWELL introduced a slew of collaborations and remixes that quickly caught fire industry wide. INGWELL’s music can be heard on a multitude of mixtapes, radio stations, clubs and live shows around the world. His music has gained support from Diplo, Major Lazer, TWRK, DJ Green Lantern, Tropkillaz and more. Plus, his standout remix of YG’s “My Hitta” has become a staple track in the livesets of the highly acclaimed duo of Diplo and Skrillex, also known as “Jack U.” Recently, major labels have begun to see the value of his signature production as Warner Music called attention to INGWELL and asked him to create an official remix for pop duo, Icona Pop. As an influencer and a tastemaker, he is arguably one of the strongest supporters of Trap, Moombahton, and 100 bpm Twerk music in LA. INGWELL successfully holds down a weekly radio mix show on Power 106 FM where he is routinely curating and introducing new sounds and talent to a mainstream Hip-Hop/Top 40 audience.
