Circle band is a Toronto-based, Persian music band founded in 2011, offering a unique style of music as fusion of jazz and psychedelic rock with elements of traditional Eastern instruments. Circle Band focuses on classical and contemporary Persian poetry, The Circle is lead by the songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Shahab Baradaran, accompanied with Saman Shahi on Piano, Synthesizer and Tar and Reza Moghaddas on the Bass . Circle band released its first album, Beyond the Seas, based on Sohrab Sepehri’s poetry in 2012. Circle Band released their second album "My Enigma" November 28,2015( اسرارمن) My Enigma it's three years project and in this album Shahab Baradaran(Songwriter,Vocalist,Guitars),Saman Shahi(piano, keyboard) ,Reza Moghaddas(bass), Peter Lutek ( saxophone, soprano sax, Turkish clarinet), Steve Farrugia (drums) ,Maryam Nosrati (vocal) . My Enigma album is different then our previous album in terms of arrangement and feeling with great musician such as Saman Shahi , Reza Moghaddas producing some of the songs , Peter Lutek, Steve Farrugia to be more involve it gives more color of Jazz, blues and classical . On the November 28.2015 Circle band performed their entire new album " My Enigma" at Small World Music Center 180 Shaw St, Toronto and Continued their tour across Canada and performed in Waterloo, Kitchener in the Registry Theatre February 7th 2016 and Performed in Ottawa at Alumni Auditorium University of Ottawa in February 20. Circle band will continue their tour in Montreal and they will performed at Lunchtime live! at Yonge-Dundas Square On Monday June 13,2016 which is presented by Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall. The Circle is a Persian fusion music group based in Toronto. It offers a new style of music as a conjunction of traditional poetry with contemporary music.
