Thy Worshiper

Thy Worshiper - wrocławski zespół pagan metalowy. Powstał w roku 1993 we Wrocławiu. W ich muzyce słychać inspiracje muzyką etniczną wywodzacą sią z kultury słowianskiej i celtyckiej. W roku 1996 wydał swoją najbardziej znaną płytę: „Popiół (Introibo ad Altare Dei)”, po czym zawiesił działalność. Zespół wrócił w roku 2005 z nowym demem Signum. W 2006 roku, nakładem Eastside Records, wydał płytę studyjną „Signum”. Wkrótce później Marcin Gąsiorowski wyjechał z kraju i zamieszkał w Irlandii. W 2009 roku poznał Dariusza Kubale i razem postanowili reaktywować zespół. W styczniu 2010 roku Thy Worshiper wszedł do studia i nagrał demo: „Opowieść Jednej Nocy”. W 2012 roku Thy Worshiper rozpoczął pracę nad nowym materiałem, który ukończył i nagrał w marcu 2013 w Westland Studio w Dublinie. Nowy album nosi nazwę "Czarna Dzika Czerwień" i ukazal sie nakladem Pagan Records 18 lutego 2014 roku. Zespol aktywnie dziala na scenie. Od 2010 roku zagral sporo koncertow lokalnie (Dublin), suportujac takie kapele jak Negura Bunget, Catle Decapitation, Fen, jak rowniez prezentowal swoja muzyke na scenie litwinskiego festiwalu Kilkim Zaibu, polskiego festiwalu Slowianska Noc Folkowa obok takich slaw jak Wardruna, Rotting Christ, Nocturnal Mortum, Asphyx, Moonsorrow, Destroyer 666, Skyforger,, Vulture Industries i wielu innych. W listopadzie 2014 zespol rusza w trase po Polsce wraz z zespolami takimi jak Furia, Witchmaster, Rogi. The band was started in 1993 in Wroclaw, Poland by Marcin Gasiorowski. In 1996 they were signed by a polish label Morbid Noizz and released their first and most acclaimed album ‘Popiol [Dust] (Introibo ad Altare Dei)’. The music was an innovatory mix of black metal and eastern European folk/traditional melodies served with a nostalgic twist. In 2005 Thy Worshiper returned with a demo and a year later released a new album called ‘Signum’. Shortly after Gasiorowski left Poland and settled in Dublin, Ireland. In 2009 he met Dariusz Kubala and together they decided to recreate Thy Worshiper once again. The band was completed among the circle of their friends musicians. They began rehearsing in summer 2009 and recorded a demo ‘Opowieść Jednej Nocy’ [A Tale of One Such Night] in 2010. In 2012, the band started to work on new material, which finished and recorded in March 2013 in Westland Studios in Dublin. The new album, is named ‘Czarna Dzika Czerwień’ [Black Savage Red] and has been released by Pagan Records 18th of February 2014. Since 2010 the band has been present on the local concert scene in Dublin supporting among the others Negura Bunget, Cattle Decapitation. In 2013 and 2014 band has played few festivals in Lithuania (Kilkim Zaibu), Poland (Folkowa Slowianska Noc) stands on the same stage with bands like Wardruna, Nocturnal Mortum, Rotting Christ, Asphyx, Moonsorrow, Destroyer 666, Skyforger, Vulture Industries and many more. In November 2014 Thy Worshiper is taking a part in DZICZ TOUR 2014 with Furia, Witchmaster and Rogi, visiting 10 cities around Poland.
