About Co shu Nie

Cö shu Nie are a truly unique three-piece experimental rock band, mastering their creativity through a combination of crisp vocals and chaotic sounds. Band members Miku Nakamura (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Manipulator), Shunsuke Matsumoto (Bass), and Ryosuke Fujita (Drums), draw on a varied collection of influences - from RUSH, SIA, Flying Lotus and The Mars Volta - and they blend jazz, R&B and electronic pop into experimental or even progressive rock.

The band were known on the indie scene and then found early success in 2018, when their song 'asphyxia' was selected by renowned manga artist, Sui Ishida, for the opening theme song to his series 'Tokyo Ghoul : re.'

Since then, they have had 3 further anime TV series syncs. This has helped to drive over 18 million views of their quirky and artistic music videos, 16 million Apple Music plays, iTunes all-genre chart appearances and #1 chart positions in J-Pop charts in 19 countries, and 53 million Spotify plays, plus Spotify Viral chart appearances in 10 countries (Chile, France, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Lichtenstein, Hong Kong, Thailand).

Vocalist and lead songwriter, Miku Nakamura, featured on the first Japanese release of rising American producer/artist Slushii, ‘Calling Out To You’, joining an impressive list of recently featured artists by Slushii, including Marshmello, Maroon 5 and French Montana.

Their music is a cathartic explosion of sound, both delicate and fast, progressive and full of color.
