FROM EDEN TO EXILE

(Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2015) Words – Oran O’Beirne (4/5) From Eden To Exile began their journey in 2012, born from the ashes of Apparitions Of The End, who played with the likes of Napalm Death and Divine Chaos at venues such as Manchester Carling Academy and The Purple Turtle, Camden. Members included Ross McLennan (Ex-Reign Of Fury/ Abhorrent Decimation), Josh Jones (Ex-Obey), Tom Kelland (From Eden To Exile), Liam Turland (From Eden To Exile). The band called it a day with members leaving for other endeavours which paved the way for the birth of something special in the form of From Eden To Exile. Soon after formation, the band released their first single “Pure Love” along with their first music video which soon made the band one of the hottest names in the Northamptonshire region. The band very quickly became worthy local headliners and soon began to secure slots further afield with appearances at HypeFest (Roadhouse, Birmingham) and alongside Warlord UK (O2 Academy, Birmingham). After a long stint of playing shows including Northampton Music Festival and further spreading the From Eden To Exile name across the UK the band began writing for their debut EP, “Soundtrack To Your Demise”. During this process the band entered the regional “Metal To The Masses” competition for the chance to play at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2015. The band sky rocketed to the final, gathering outstanding support from the local scene and blew away Bloodstock’s stage manager Simon Hall, securing them a slot on the New Blood Stage at the same time as legendary band “Death” and alongside the likes of “Trivium”, “Opeth”, “Sepultura” and many more. Prior to the competition finale, From Eden To Exile released their debut EP “Soundtrack To Your Demise” which gained great interest and recieved outstanding reviews. The combination of a solid EP and mind blowing live capabilities attracted the attention of Ex-“Gutworm” frontman and current “Krysthla” guitarist Neil Hudson who quickly took the band under his wing, offering advice and eagerly wanting to record the band at his “Initiate Audio and Media” studio. From Eden To Exile joined forces with Hudson to record their single “Bed Of Nails” which was released after their Bloodstock appearance in October 2015 along with a music video shot by “Light Focus Photography”. Along with an EP, top quality merchandise and a brand new single the band soon began to branch out online, opening their BigCartel online webstore and having their music downloaded from Bandcamp from all over the UK. In 2016 the band prepared to record their debut album which is to be recorded with “Bed Of Nails” producer Neil Hudson (Ex-Gutworm/ Krysthla). The band is set to release their debut album in 2017.
