Such an awesome show! NewDad is so hard to describe how great they are with words, and Cruel Machine was such a good opener! The two together made the show so great

the bands were fantastic and the crowd matched their energies.

NewDad played amazing. They controlled the crowd well, and interacted with us. Their entire band is so talented, the venue was a good size for them, and I loved their use of lights with the songs. Overall an amazing concert, they should absolutely come back to DC!! (please)

The bands stage presence was on fire i knew a 2 songs from them before i heard of them but saw there Coachella set and saw they happen to be in town as i was visiting (shoutout to Florida) and i am new a big fan of them now and great crowd as well

Really good night. Cardinals from Cork City started it really well. Just got better from there. Saw them in Trinity last year. Have grown and got so much better since then

Very fun and high-quality show. The Botanique's Museum room is not too large, but has a quaint atmosphere and offers excellent sound quality. It got filled to capacity with a diverse crowd, ranging from grey-haired rockers to mulleted hipsters. The band--Julie Dawson (vocals, guitar), Fiachra Parslow (drums), and Sean O'Dowd (guitar)--was joined by Marie Freiss on bass. They played with palpable pleasure and gusto. Julie is a fabulous frontwoman. She commanded the stage, with her green leopard print dress, white hair, and, of course, her wonderful voice. An hour rushed by, filled with the best songs of their two albums. Although the songs from Altar have a much more rock vibe than their earlier work, allowing Sean to rock out during solos, the crowd tended to stay put, content to just bob and sing along to the music instead of dancing. Doesn't mean there was no atmosphere, quite to the contrary, just that the crowd was more into savouring the music than into engaging in mosh pit antics. In all, a really wonderful concert. I hope to see Newdad again on stage in the future.

It was ABSOLUTELY fantastic! The singing was a bit low and hard to hear at times (especially when the drums were so loud and powerful which is NOT a bad thing!) but other than that it was 10/10!
